Went to see Kamijo in concert in LA. We were not allowed to film or photograph the actual performance, but I managed to snag a few pictures of the stage beforehand.
Of course I took the opportunity to dress up, as did most of the other concert attendees. The throng of people adorned in visual kei and gothic lolita coords outside the Mayan as we waited for the concert was one of the most welcoming sights I have seen in years.
They performed 3 of my all time favs, which are:
Nosferatu,
The Love from a Dead Orchestra, and
Romantique. I started crying when he sang Nosferatu, as that is one of the first songs of his I listened to.
Massive respect for this man and performers in general. Twirling around in 6" heels and a long wig and velvet coat under the intense heat of a hundred lights and social pressureā and still hitting the high notes? I can hardly think of something more impressive. I only hope we gave them all enough applause to make it worthwhile.

While I was in LA, I visited The Last Bookstore and bought 4 books of various genres. One on how to write emotions in fiction, another on how to manage intrusive thoughts, a Sir Terry Pratchett novel, and the last book I refuse to tell anyone about.
I also took pictures of Gale in the bookstore. That's the kind of cringe I am.
